1.What is Illegal downloading?

Illegal downloading is obtaining files that you don’t have the right to use from the internet.

Digital piracy involves illegally sharing copyrighted media such as games, music, movies, TV shows and software. It does not matter whether you upload the content to share with others without permission or whether you download it for free or for a bargain price. Anyone involved in this type of operation is breaking the law.

an example of piracy:

If you are a member of a website that shares music files without permission from the recording labels, you are involved in piracy, even if you pay a fee to the website for downloading them. If you are able to access and download movies, TV shows or movies for free or at extremely low prices, these are usually illegal copies. To avoid downloading media illegally, obtain it from reputable dealers that have the rights to sell it to you.

2.What measures can be taken to prevent it ?

We think that we can’t stop people who download, but we can warn them what that they do is illegal.
We can send E-mail with a warning message to the people who go to the illegal website.
We can make some warning porn website.

3. Laws in diffrent countries.

3.1. Spain.

Since July 2011, uploading is legal in Spanish!

A Spanish court found a legal site that publishes links to download files protected by copyright  Mega Upload files.
The Court of Barcelona has recognized the legal Site Index-web.com, saying it does not violate the copyright, despite the spread of hypertext links to illegal downloads. Index-web.com has many links to download protected by copyright on sites like MegaUpload files.
“Our law does not prohibit a website providing links
and to provide a link, is not to provide a file. “The court found that the site” does not affect reproduction, it is limited to providing existing links “to other sites, even if they are illegal.

3.2. Belgium.

In Belgium the law provides for a sentence of three months to three years in prison and 550 to € 550 000 fines. It is a law based on copyright.  In Belgium the government has refused the graduated sentences. The government have reduced the Hadopi law.

3.3 France.

Hadopi law :
It consists of the stewardship of data downloaded and posted on the internet by individuals or businesses. The first warning is only email, but it can reach the final suppression of access to the internet for a home. Or a prison sentence or a fine.

4. How to prevent illegal downloading?

Napster was the first widely known program to open the door for downloading, which created a situation where consumers could illegally share copyrighted files over the Internet. Napster has evolved and is no longer a forum for sharing illegal music or other files, but many programs still allow for files to be shared and disseminated without permission of the rightful owner. There are, however, also some methods that help prevent illegal downloading.
